DreamPillow ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and your rights. By using DreamPillow you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Handle

DreamPillow handles only what is needed to create the stories you ask for:

• Child's first name (or nickname) and age — used to personalise stories and choose age-appropriate language. Stored on your device.
• Story preferences & ideas — the chosen friend, vibe, tone, length, narration language, and the story idea you type. Used to shape each story.
• Created stories, reading history & settings — stored locally on your device so your library is there next time.
• Purchase information — handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit 2. We do not receive, process, or store any payment details.

We recommend using a nickname rather than a child's full real name, and avoiding sensitive details (addresses, phone numbers, school names, health information) in story ideas.

Creating AI Stories

Stories are generated by artificial intelligence. When you create a story, the app sends a request over a secure (HTTPS) connection to our story-generation service containing the child's first name (or nickname), age, your chosen preferences, and the story idea you typed. The service uses this to write the text, generate illustrations, and produce narration, which are sent back to your device and saved there.

Our story service is stateless: it processes each request to build your story and does not maintain user accounts or a long-term database of your requests.

How We Use This Information

• To generate personalised story text, illustrations, and narration that you request.
• To remember your child's profile and preferences across app launches.
• To verify your subscription status through Apple's systems.

We do not sell, rent, share, or monetise any of your data. We have no analytics SDK, no advertising framework, and no cross-app tracking.

Data Storage & Security

• Your child's profile, created stories, reading history, and settings are stored locally on your device.
• Story requests are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections to our story-generation service.
• Our service is stateless and does not keep your story requests after the story is built.
• No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we minimise what we handle to reduce risk.

Third-Party Services

To deliver the app we rely on the following providers only:

• Cloudflare — hosts our story-generation service (the endpoint your story requests are sent to).
• OpenRouter — routes story, image, and narration requests to the AI models that generate the content (currently models operated by Google). These providers process the request inputs to create the story.
• Apple StoreKit 2 — for in-app subscriptions and purchase management. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

No analytics tools or advertising frameworks are included. If we change AI providers we will update this section.

Children's Privacy

DreamPillow is designed to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. The only child-related information used is a first name (or nickname) and age, plus the preferences and ideas needed to make a story. A grown-up sets up the profile and can review, change, or delete it at any time. There is no advertising, no tracking, and no way for a child to share content with or contact strangers. Actions intended for adults (such as making a purchase) are protected by a parental gate.

Your Rights

Because nearly all information is stored on your own device and we keep no user accounts, you can exercise most of your rights directly:

• View, edit, or delete the child's profile inside the app.
• Delete individual stories from your library.
• Remove all data permanently by deleting the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
